What is a typical PTZ camera like? One thing is certain: it is quite large and heavy, and when mounted on the corner of a building, it even slightly destabilizes the foundation. Therefore, they are not very popular among residential users, as they tend to spoil the appearance of any home.
However, there are situations where a rotatable, zoom-capable camera is absolutely required. In such cases, we do not need an average PTZ camera, but the best solution available, which is none other than the Techson PA5 P004!
Officially named TCI PA5 P004 I ADM Z3, this is the latest addition to Techson’s PTZ product family. It’s worth starting the introduction with its appearance, as this is its most striking novelty! At first glance, the camera strongly resembles a typical, small-sized dome camera: it has a flat design and a discreet exterior. Even the strictest interior designer would have no trouble placing this palm-sized dome!
However, the seemingly average camera housing conceals a fully capable, intelligent PTZ camera in every respect. Speaking of the housing: naturally, it is equipped with IP67 protection and IK10 vandal resistance, making it fully usable outdoors without compromise.
And how does it perform as a PTZ? The four-megapixel resolution is paired with a three-times motorized zoom. In addition, the camera can rotate 355° with a rotation speed of up to 80° per second — along both axes. The lens focal length ranges from 3.18 to 7.42 mm according to the zoom level. Thus, the camera’s field of view can be adjusted between 44° and 113°.
In terms of AI-supported analytics, it offers everything we have come to expect from Techson’s robust PTZ cameras: it detects motion, line crossing, and entry into or exit from a user-defined area. And of course, in line with the latest trends, it can not only detect a target but, if requested, can also track it.
Similarly to what we are used to, it can also be manually controlled: we can look around, zoom in, and set patrol routes. In short, this is a full-featured PTZ camera. That’s why it has earned its place among the SmartPro series.
